Black and White Fashion Show brings awareness to the runway - North Texas e-News

Dallas, TX -- The creators of the Black & White Fashion Show announced today they will host the in-person event on Sunday, April 11 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the popular 3015 at Trinity Groves. The event will bring awareness to the rising issue of human trafficking. Texans are banding together with Academy Award Winning Actor Matthew McConaughey and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to bring awareness to this critical issue.  View their public service announcement at https://youtu.be/dKE9xcazkkM.

As we work to bring into the light the tragedy taking place within our own state, The Time Group, a Dallas based marketing and PR firm, has joined with The Texas Restaurant Association and the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association to support It’s Going To Be OK, Inc., Dallas and Hicks Hope Initiative LTD.  Tickets for this event are available at

“We’re excited to have the spotlight put on this critical issue,” said Tonya Stafford, Founder, CEO and Board President for It’s Going To Be Okay, Inc. “Working together, we can make great strides to help those in need and offer them the hope of a better future.”

This year’s show will feature exclusive designs created by Fashion Designer, Terri Ives of Terri Ives Couture.  Ms. Ives is a Dallas-based fashion designer who has had the honor of designing for a former First Lady. Terri is well known for her designs in black and white. Runway models will also be wearing exclusive Mona Jain Jewelry designs.  The jewelry line is handcrafted by employed women that are now able to support their families, so they don’t fall victim to human trafficking.

As we celebrate the empowering of women, female chefs from women-owned businesses including Chef Sharon Van Meter, Chef Nikky Phinyawatana, and Chef Janice Brooks will prepare gourmet bites for the event. Guests in attendance will enjoy a special performance by WT Greer. Former NFL Player and Super Bowl Champion, Isaiah Stanback, will emcee the red-carpet event.
