Congratulations are in order for, well, a whole host of celebrities. Let’s start with Zendaya: the 25 year old became the youngest person to ever win the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Icon Award on Tuesday. She accepted the accolade in a custom red Vera Wang bandeau and bubble-peplum column skirt—an ensemble worthy of her new title.
Secondly, Taylor Swift re-released her fourth studio album Red, along with some new, never-before-heard songs. One of them was the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” and a short film to accompany it. It’s a breakup album for the ages; listen with a box of tissues.
Paris Hilton, Malala Yousafzai, and Ivy Getty all publicly celebrated their weddings this week. Yousafzai confirmed on Instagram that she had married Asser Malik in an intimate ceremony in Birmingham. Artist and model Getty married photographer Tobias Alexander Engel in a lavish City Hall ceremony officiated by Nancy Pelosi (Anya Taylor-Joy was her maid of honor). Hilton tied the knot to Carter Reum at her late grandfather, Conrad Hilton’s, former Bel-Air estate.
Sarah Jessica Parker is Vogue’s December cover star! Ahead of the highly-anticipated premiere of the Sex and the City sequel, And Just Like That, the star opened up about stepping into Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolos once more.
Finally, the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow wrapped up this week. Before the close, fashion and art students from London staged “the Carnival of Crisis,” a colorful parade that urged lawmakers to enact real, actionable plans.
