Black Fashion Week MN and the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery will present a pop-up exhibit and fashion show during Black Fashion Week MN.
The two-day pop-up exhibit, “BLCK STYLE,” runs from 1 to 5 p.m. May 28 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 29 at the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery in Minneapolis. Admission is free.
The exhibit will feature apparel from local designers Troe Williams of Vandalism Designs, Alexis Brazil of the Lexurie Collection, Kendall Ray of KD Designs and Rammy Mohamed of Ramadhan Designs.
The exhibit will also feature the history of Black fashion designers, from Ann Lowe to Dapper Dan, jewelry from Robyne Robinson, vintage Twin Cities fashion photographs by Charles Chamblis and a few items from Prince.
The fashion show runs from 3 to 6 p.m. May 29 on the rooftop patio of the museum. Tickets are priced from $50 to $30 and are available through Eventbrite.
