Mickey Boardman relaunches charity fashion sale after Soho 'royal' coup - Page Six

After downtown prince Mickey Boardman’s one-day sale of royal memorabilia to benefit Housing Works in Soho last month was such a regal hit, the Paper Magazine veteran is reviving his annual designer clothing charity sale.

Boardman will be selling off a trove of threads as well as accessories, and beauty products “at incredible savings” in The Garden at The Standard, East Village, on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1.

He told Page Six that standout items will include iconic bags from Fendi, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Rafe Totengco, Proenza Schouler, DKNY, Kate Spade, as well as Tommy Hilfiger x Indya Moore collaborative apparel, Jonathan Adler candles, Manolo Blahnik shoes, and clothes by La Ligne and Sacai.

“Mr. Mickey’s Charity Sale” will be open to the public in The Garden — the Standard, East Village’s updated terrace space. All proceeds will go to benefit Citta — a US-based non-profit working in India and Nepal — for its COVID relief efforts in Rajasthan.

Boardman has also previously hosted a “Mr. Mickey’s Celebrity Sidewalk Sale” of “fashion fabulousness” to benefit Citta.

Page Six previously reported that the fashion insider reckons he has the most important collection of royal items in NYC, and previously told us of selling off his memorabilia: “I have a one-bedroom apartment. I don’t want to be that old woman, where her entire ranch house is filled with [Prince] Charles and Diana slippers… I love the idea of turning shopping into philanthropy, and to find a good home for my things.”

Boardman was famously behind the Kim Kardashian “Break the Internet” cover for Paper.
