RunwayFX 2021: Metropolitan Fashion Week set for Aug. 28 at Seattle Chinese Garden - Westside Seattle

A major fashion event is set for Aug. 28 at the Seattle Chinese Garden in West Seattle. RUNWAY FX part of Metropolitan Fashion Week will offer two shows as part of a competition for fashion designers.

RUNWAYFX "World of Fashion Masterpieces" an annual Digital International Fashion Design Competition with established fashion designers and artists representing countries from around the world. The show was originally set to take place at the Seattle Art Museum but due to Covid restrictions has been moved to West Seattle's Seattle Chinese Garden.

Each participant submits an original masterpiece (Avant-Garde, Costume or Couture Gown) to compete for Designer of the Year.

The show will be honoring 1st Responders many of which will also be modeling in the Julie Danforth segment.

• WHERE: Seattle Chinese Garden 5640 16th Ave. SW,  West Seattle, WA 98106
• TIME: Due to the size of the audience there will be two shows that take place outdoors:               
• Early show starts at  5:00PM  /  Late show starts at 7:00PM 

Program Lineup 

• PART I: Performance by Chinese Lion Dance by Master David Leong Northwest Kung Fu School
• PART II: Forest Fantasy by Costume Designer Inoe Vargas 
• Part III: Special Presentation by: Port Townsend Wearable Art
• Closing:  "Pretty & Tough" by Fashion Designer Julie Danforth

​Masterpieces will be judged by an esteemed panel of judges from entertainment, costume design, fashion design, business and philanthropy industries. Fashion Masterpiece will be judged on the following criteria:   

The Winner of RUNWAYFX 2021 will receive 

• Editorial Spread in Metropolitan Fashion Magazine

• Opportunity to showcase their new collection in the next years show

• Inclusion in RUNWAYFX Television Media tour

• Featured Inclusion in RUNWAYFX Masterpiece Digital Museum

• Opportunity to display the winning Masterpiece at Galleries & Museums

• Invitation to be a Judge for next year’s show

• Masterpiece photo shoot with Jamie Lim 

• Opportunity to participate in other RUNWAYFX shows in other cities

• Inclusion in Press Release, Social Media, Newsletter.
